WSA Winnipeg will sport a new look for the 2019 USL League Two Season, partnering with Macron, a long time kit provider revered for creating unique looks for every team they work with.
“Macron reached out to us over a year ago and we were so impressed with their designs for a new kit we immediately moved forward,” said WSA Winnipeg head coach Eduardo Badescu.
Macron created ‘bespoke’ kits for WSA Winnipeg, with added details throughout both the home and away uniforms. Full tracksuits and practice gear is also being provided.
“The players love them. It builds off the original uniforms we had from local company Mondetta that we also loved.”
White and red remains the primary home uniform, adding a striped look to the shirt and Canadian flag on the sleeve. The black away uniforms add new details with ‘Winnipeg’ on the back collar and added detail throughout.
Boston Pizza will be the primary shirt sponsor for WSA Winnipeg.
Macron was founded in 1971 and began providing team-wear to professional football in 2001, its first contract being with Bologna. They now create custom kits for numerous national teams and dozens of professional clubs around the world. Macron is also the kit provider for all seven teams in the Canadian Premier League.
WSA Winnipeg opens the 2019 season on Friday May 24th on the road to the Des Moines Menace.
