Winnipeg, Manitoba – The Manitoba Soccer Association (MSA) is pleased to announce that World Soccer Academy (WSA) has been approved by the MSA Board of Directors as the first Quality Soccer Provider in Manitoba.
The 2019/2020 Manitoba Soccer Association membership application process opened on April 1, 2019 to all Manitoba soccer organizations applying for or renewing their MSA Memberships for the period of April 1, 2019- March 31, 2020. The Manitoba Soccer Association approved the inclusion of the 37 Canada Soccer Standards for Quality Soccer requirements as part of the membership application process.
The Canada Soccer Standards for Quality Soccer are designed to outline the minimum expectations of member organizations in Canada. It is expected that all member organizations provide a developmentally appropriate, safe, enjoyable, accessible, inclusive and welcoming playing environment for their participants, which differentiates it from non-member soccer and unorganized play. In order to be considered as a quality soccer provider, organizations must also be in good standing with their governing organization.
World Soccer Academy (WSA) is the first Manitoba soccer organization to meet all 37 Standards for Quality Soccer requirements and have received approval from the MSA Board of Directors to become a new youth associate member organization.
The MSA will continue to work with all current youth member organizations, and any new youth applicants who are striving to become a Manitoba Quality Soccer Provider.
